Golf club retirement village a boost for Toowoomba
Sunday, 1 March 2020
Early construction work is well under way on The Ninth Middle Ridge retirement community at the Toowoomba Golf Club, providing a financial boost to the Darling Downs.
The village is being developed by Queensland retirement village provider and operator Aura Holdings within the historic golf club that opened in 1896.
Earthworks have begun to relocate the tenth tee and the storage sheds for golf buggies, while construction has begun on an overflow carpark and a new access route from Rowbotham St. The carpark and buggy shed works are being carried out at a cost of $750,000 and all contractors and design consultants have been locally sourced.
