Our village story
For many years, retirees have been seeking quality, modern retirement living options close to shops, restaurants, cafes and medical facilities in the area they know and love. But this style of retirement living has been in short supply in Toowoomba with the only option being the over-50s’ lifestyle resorts made up of individual villas scattered across large, remote sites.
Here at The Ninth Middle Ridge, we have filled this gap. Aura Holdings’ style of ‘vertical villages’ with spacious apartments requires less land so can be built in highly desirable locations close to all essential services. The Ninth’s low-rise design provides safe access to facilities via lifts, without stairs or trip hazards. Opened in October 2022, our stunning community offers 75 apartments and penthouses designed for seniors with premium fixtures and fittings.

Cox Architecture
Cox Architecture, one of Australia’s most experienced and award-winning design companies, has been appointed to design The Ninth Middle Ridge. Cox has contributed to some of Queensland’s most recognisable projects including the James Street Markets, the Kurilpa Bridge and the Waltzing Matilda Museum in Winton.
Cox staff have chosen a low-rise ‘stepped’ design for The Ninth Middle Ridge to minimise any impact on the golf course and neighbours, while maximising views for the village residents. The Ninth will be constructed around a ‘village green’ at the heart of the three buildings.
McNab
Home-grown Toowoomba company, McNab, is the builder for The Ninth Middle Ridge. Established in Toowoomba in 1996, McNab have been actively involved in supporting the local community and businesses for the past 24 years. McNab now employs more than 300 staff based across southeast Queensland.
McNab has been entrusted to build some of the country’s most awarded projects. In Queensland, McNab has a proven reputation for delivering high quality, award-winning retirement and residential developments, including two previous developments for Aura Holdings.
