RETIREES have snapped up 70 per cent of the apartments in Stage 3 of a pet friendly resort-style retirement community in Brisbane’s south west before construction has started.
When it is built, Stage 3 of the Kingsford Terrace development will be across two storeys with 10 three-bedroom apartments. Five of the apartments will have their own ground-floor courtyard gardens.
The multi-staged $130 million Kingsford Terrace project at 260 Cliveden Ave, Corinda, is being developed and operated by Brisbane-based retirement provider Aura Holdings.
Stage 3, called Mitchell, is named in honour local pioneer James Mitchell and his family who lived in the original house, St Elmo, on land that now encompasses the site.
Construction is expected to be completed by late 2020.
The pet-friendly village offers residents resort-style facilities including a heated, indoor pool, cafe, gym, hairdresser, a stunning cellar to store and enjoy wine, a billiards room, library, dining and functions room and consulting rooms for allied health professionals.
Aura Holdings director Tim Russell said Mitchell had captured the imagination of retirees and downsizers seeking high-quality retirement living in the area they know and love.
