Aura listens and creates just what you want
Today’s retirees demand a high standard of living and when they downsize they don’t want to move somewhere tiny without all the comforts they expect.
Modern retirees view downsizing more as freedom from all the maintenance associated with their family home and garden, not a lesser standard of living. These expectations are changing the face of retirement living in the 21st century.
Aura Holdings has listened to the desires of our residents and we are creating the option of larger and more luxurious apartments in all our new developments.
Construction on the final stage of The Avenue Maroochydore is complete and offers the largest retirement living apartments on the Sunshine Coast. Some of the new three-bedroom apartments have more than 200sq m of living space.
Aura Holdings’ Director Tim Russell says: “Today’s retirees are discerning and seek a very high standard and their idea of downsizing does not involve moving to a tiny apartment without the space for all the precious things they have accrued. Instead, they view downsizing as gaining freedom from the endless maintenance and stress associated with a house, garden and pool.
“When we designed the last stage of The Avenue Maroochydore we listened to a section of our buyers who told us they wanted bigger and better. Our largest apartment is 290sq m and provides three bedrooms, two with ensuites, a third bathroom, a cook’s kitchen with dual ovens, Smeg appliances, a butler’s pantry and a large balcony. The master bedroom’s walk-in robe is the size of regular double bedroom. Visitors to The Avenue say: ‘Wow, this looks nothing like retirement living’.
“Modern retirees are well travelled and often both partners have enjoyed long, rewarding careers, they are financially independent and lead active lives. They won’t compromise on the standard of living they have worked so hard to achieve.’’
In November 2020, Aura launched stage four of Kingsford Terrace Corinda that will provide some of the most spacious apartments in the retirement community in Brisbane’s southwest. The largest apartments in the new Francis building will have three bedrooms with oversized living areas and more than 250sq m of indoor and outdoor space. Construction of Francis is due to begin mid-2021 and deposits are being taken now.
The largest penthouse apartments at Somerset Indooroopilly, under construction within the Indooroopilly Golf Club, will have 262sq m of living areas and luxurious finishes. Somerset’s most spacious apartments will have three bedrooms, a multi-purpose room ideal for use as a home office or TV viewing, and two outdoor balcony areas.
Aura’s other golfside community at The Ninth Middle Ridge to be built in the Toowoomba Golf Club will provide something very special for retirees to the Darling Downs with apartments up to 215sq m overlooking the 55 hectares of green space.
The lure of sun and sand has retirees flocking to The Pavilion North Kirra on the Gold Coast with stage one, due for completion in the second half of 2021, almost nearly all sold. Stage two of The Pavilion has been launched and is selling now, offering larger apartments up to 165sq m with spacious interior and exterior living areas.
A major benefit of living in a retirement community is being able to enjoy the communal facilities and spaces around the village. Communal areas bring the residents together and provide that extra space to entertain family and friends, becoming an extension of your apartment.
“We consider the community spaces as an extension of our residents’ apartments. When our residents decide to downsize from the maintenance of a large family home they still want space around them the can use,’’ Aura Holdings’ Director Mark Taylor says.
Aura proudly listens to the needs and desires of residents. We believe that your house should feel like your home. We’re sure you will find the perfect retirement whether it’s a one-bedroom apartment or an over-sized penthouse with space to entertain and room for visitors and all your interests.
