A controversial retirement village in one of Toowoomba’s leafiest suburbs is returning to the council today, just months after it was approved.

The Toowoomba Golf Club was given the green light to facilitate the construction of a $30 million, 78-unit retirement facility on Stenner St in Middle Ridge in August, despite a major backlash from surrounding residents.

Now the club wants the council to reconsider certain conditions it imposed last time at a special meeting this afternoon.
