Crystal helps residents navigate support services

Crystal is the new Five Good Friends Concierge at The Avenue Maroochydore. And she is looking forward to getting to know all our wonderful residents.

Crystal, a registered nurse of 17 years, has worked in metropolitan hospitals, but most recently in the community mental health sector.

Her goal is to support The Avenue’s residents to live happy, healthy lives. Crystal is available to help you navigate the sometimes complicated My Aged Care system, support you with paperwork, assist in preparation for an ACAT assessment or apply for a Home Care Package.

Quality in-home services operator Five Good Friends is an approved provider of the Federal Government’s Home Care Packages or residents may pay privately for their services.

Crystal can provide information on all Five Good Friends’ support services, either long term or while recovering from illness or surgery. The services can be as simple as some cleaning inside your apartment, preparing meals or ongoing nursing care to support your desire to continue living independently.

She is looking forward to building strong relationships with The Avenue’s residents and also offering general health and wellbeing information.

When the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, Crystal looks forward to resuming The Avenue’s brain training sessions for residents and interested members of the public.
