Crystal helps residents navigate support services
Crystal, a registered nurse of 17 years, has worked in metropolitan hospitals, but most recently in the community mental health sector.
Her goal is to support The Avenue’s residents to live happy, healthy lives. Crystal is available to help you navigate the sometimes complicated My Aged Care system, support you with paperwork, assist in preparation for an ACAT assessment or apply for a Home Care Package.
Quality in-home services operator Five Good Friends is an approved provider of the Federal Government’s Home Care Packages or residents may pay privately for their services.
Crystal can provide information on all Five Good Friends’ support services, either long term or while recovering from illness or surgery. The services can be as simple as some cleaning inside your apartment, preparing meals or ongoing nursing care to support your desire to continue living independently.
She is looking forward to building strong relationships with The Avenue’s residents and also offering general health and wellbeing information.
“It’s a great privilege to be able to assist people to access supports at home so they can stay in the homes they love,’’ Crystal says. “If you have any queries or questions please get in contact with me. I look forward to meeting you all soon.’’
When the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, Crystal looks forward to resuming The Avenue’s brain training sessions for residents and interested members of the public.
To contact Crystal please phone her directly on 0429 499 362. She is available Monday to Friday 9am to 11am, or outside those hours, leave a message and she will phone back.
