Kirralee: the friendly face of Somerset

Kirralee is the friendly face of Somerset Indooroopilly and as the Sales Consultant loves being able to introduce retirees to the fabulous life that awaits them when this exclusive village is constructed inside the Indooroopilly Golf Course.

We asked Kirralee, who has a background in the real estate industry with 3.5 years in the retirement living sector, a few questions so you can get to know her better.

How long have you worked at Aura HoldingsA year.

Your roles: Sales consultant at The Atrium Lutwyche, now Somerset Indooroopilly.

What do you like most about your job: Meeting our residents and then welcoming them to their new home. Someone smiling with genuine happiness and watching them thrive in their new surrounds is 100 per cent the best part of my job. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard “why didn’t I do this sooner!”

What do you hope to achieve in your role: Making the transition of our residents into their new home as seamless as possible. Welcoming them and making sure Somerset Indooroopilly is everything they hope it can be … and more!

What makes Somerset Indooroopilly special: The vision behind what’s coming is so exciting! I can’t wait to share it with everyone. I think we’re all going to be blown away by the final product. The offering from Aura Holdings and aesthetics of the development will make Somerset an amazing place to live. The people who have already made expressions of interest on an apartment are such a lively bunch. When we add our new residents into the mix, we’re going to take Somerset to a whole new level!

Favourite activities outside work: Walking my dog Dudley, yoga, spending time with friends and a shopping habit which I’m trying (and failing) to curb.

What do you want to achieve personally: See above – shopping habit needs a little attention.

A favourite person: Can that be a living being? My dog, Dudley, he is a cavoodle, and I am ‘low-key’ obsessed by him.

Bucket-list travel: I dream of spending time travelling around Europe. This might have to wait because of what’s currently happening in the world. But when the travel bans lift, I want to spend some time experiencing Australia – maybe spend some time in Tasmania, North Queensland, or even the Barossa Valley … who knows where I’ll end up.

What’s ahead for you this year: My sister is about to have a baby. I’m so excited to meet him and watch him grow up. But I think the rest of the year will be a little simpler and quieter than previous years. If anything, the Covid-19 crisis has held a mirror up, made me stop and appreciate what I actually do have in life. I’ve realised that I need to slow down and really live every day.
