At Somerset Indooroopilly, it’s all about you. Your home is yours. Your life is yours. Your privacy, independence and lifestyle are yours. Just the way it should be!
Somerset Indooroopilly offers something very special in Brisbane’s inner west. The exclusive retirement village is named after the original homestead, Somerset, that was built around 1900 by Henry Thomas on what is now part of the golf course. Henry Thomas established his famed bougainvillea gardens on the site that became a tourist attraction for four decades.
At Somerset Indooroopilly we understand you, so when you decide to downsize from the family home, we can introduce you to a relaxed yet privileged lifestyle where the maintenance is our responsibility. You’ve put in the hard work – now it’s time to reap the rewards.
For golfers, life doesn’t get any better than residing amongst one of Brisbane’s most hallowed courses. Non-golfers love the tranquil lifestyle, with the option of just enjoying the splendid green vista from your private balcony. Situated on Meiers Road, the village is part of a premium neighbourhood bordering the Brisbane River.
Every day, we see the joy that our brand of retirement living brings to our residents: complete freedom in an active community of like-minded neighbours, with a lively social scene and in-home services readily available if needed.
If you’re looking for a luxurious lifestyle and aren’t willing to compromise on style and convenience, then you’ve come to the right place. To support your active and social lifestyle, residents share a range of high-end community facilities including a pool and spa, gymnasium, wine room, library, private dining room, outdoor barbecue areas, hairdresser, masseuse and consultation suites for allied health professionals.
Our mission is to ensure your life at Somerset Indooroopilly is just the way it should be … all about you.

For many years, retirees have been seeking quality retirement living options close to sporting facilities, shops, restaurants, cafes and medical facilities in the area they know and love.
But this style of retirement living has been in short supply in Brisbane, leaving local residents no other choice but to compromise or consider moving out of the area they’ve lived in for decades.
Here at Somerset Indooroopilly, we’re filling this gap.
This golfside retirement community provides a variety of independent living apartments across eight buildings, with facilities designed for residents to enjoy the best time of their lives.
COX Architecture, one of Australia’s most experienced and award-winning design companies, was appointed to design Somerset Indooroopilly. Cox has contributed to some of Queensland’s most recognisable projects including the James Street Markets, the Kurilpa Bridge and the Waltzing Matilda Museum in Winton.
The design developed by Cox comes from a landscape approach with consideration of both the village residents and the neighbourhood.
Somerset Indooroopilly has been crafted in response to the contours of the site to engage with the distant views and the golf course amenity, while apartments and community areas benefit from a generous central landscape space that provide the “lungs’’ for the development.
