Join instructor Clare in the village’s function room at 260 Cliveden Avenue, Corinda, for her Firebloom fitness classes three times a week on Mondays at 8.30am, and Wednesdays and Fridays at 10.30am. The classes work on building strength in your arms, legs and core, as well as improving balance and increasing flexibility. Exercises are modified for your own level of fitness. Firebloom classes are $10 a session.
Yoga classes with instructor Lisa from Samastah Yoga are held in the function room on alternate Mondays from 10am to 11.15am. The classes, designed for over-60s, have 60 minutes of movement and 15 minutes of guided relaxation. Cost is $14 a class. Lisa also hosts a restorative yoga class on the last Wednesday of the month in the library, 6pm-7.15pm, $14 a class. Beginners are very welcome.
Nia classes with Liz are fun and fabulous. Nia blends music and movement with mindfulness to improve fitness, mental health and balance. The low-impact classes are held on Fridays 11.45am-12.45pm and cost $10.
