Taylor building has luxury retirement all sewn up

Stage six of the master-planned Kingsford Terrace Corinda retirement community has been fast-tracked to meet demand for luxury independent-living apartments in Brisbane’s southwest.
The launch of the penultimate Taylor building has already been met with keen interest from retirees seeking spacious, high-end apartments in the hot suburb of Corinda where apartment prices have risen almost 17 per cent in the past 12 months, compared with an average 8 per cent rise for apartments across Brisbane (according to RP Data).
Taylor’s apartments start from $690,000 to a $1.425 million penthouse. Apartments can be reserved on a $5,000 fully-refundable deposit.
Aura Holdings’ director Mark Taylor said since the start of 2021 the Brisbane-based retirement provider has struggled to meet the demand from retirees for apartments at Kingsford Terrace.
Due to this demand, construction on stages four and five was fast-tracked with both due for completion this year. Stage four, the Francis building, has sold out and stage five, Lingrove, has limited apartments available.
The Taylor stage continues the tradition of naming buildings after local notable residents or landmarks. This latest stage honours architect and builder Walter Taylor who left his mark on Brisbane with many landmarks including the Indooroopilly Toll Bridge, opened in 1936, and later renamed the Walter Taylor Bridge, and the pretty Graceville Uniting Church.
The six-level Taylor building will provide 48 luxurious apartments with one, two or three-bedroom options. The spacious floorplans range up to 222sq m with a large main bedroom suite, including ensuite and walk-in robes, chef’s kitchen with butler’s pantry; multi-purpose room or home study, large balconies and private gardens.
Most apartments will overlook the open space of a village green. Construction is due to begin on the Taylor building this year with completion due late 2023.
