New high-rise complex attacks retirement units shortfall

Local residents were among those keen to hear about a new high-rise retirement complex under construction in central Maroochydore, that will also help address a projected shortfall in retirement units on the Sunshine Coast.
The $58.4million The Avenue is going up on the site of the former Maroochydore Swans Bowls Club, on Baden-Powell Street, and will include 117 retirement living apartments on just under one hectare.
