Living at The Avenue Maroochydore

Just because your needs change as you get older, it doesn’t mean the quality of your lifestyle has to. We know our residents want to enjoy privacy, security and their independence for as long as possible and they want their home to reflect that. At The Avenue Maroochydore, we understand.

Every day, we see the joy that retirement living brings to our residents: complete freedom from home maintenance, like-minded neighbours, a sense of belonging and in-home services readily available if needed.

If you’re looking for a beautiful coastal environment in a peaceful retirement village to call home, then you’ve come to the right place. We will know you by name and our mission will be to ensure your life at The Avenue Maroochydore is just the way it should be … all about you.

Our village story

For many years, retirees have been seeking quality retirement living options close to the beach, shops, restaurants, cafes and medical facilities in the area they know and love.

But this style of retirement living has been in short supply in the Sunshine Coast, leaving local residents no other choice but to compromise or consider moving out of the area they’ve lived in for decades.

Here at The Avenue Maroochydore, we’re filling this gap.

Our beautiful coastal retirement community provides 113 independent living apartments with facilities designed for residents to enjoy the best time of their lives.

Our partners

O'Neill Architecture

O’Neill Architecture, one of Brisbane’s most awarded architectural firms, designed The Avenue at Maroochydore. O’Neill Architecture has been responsible for a range of distinctive projects throughout the state including Portside, Global Arts Link in Ipswich and the Queens Wharf waterfront precinct.

The Avenue in Maroochydore is surrounded by streets on three sides. For the design, the O’Neill team maximised the number of units facing the street and created a large, landscaped private and secure courtyard as the central community hub. All community facilities overlook and spill into this courtyard, with an additional outdoor pool area positioned to maximise access to northern sun.

Woollam Constructions

Since 1884, Woollam Constructions has helped power Queensland and New South Wales’ local economies, shape communities and left a mark on the architectural heritage of our towns and cities.

From senior living communities to Thomas Woollam’s backyard joinery business in suburban Clayfield 136 years ago, the Woollam name has become synonymous with forging strong relationships and creating some of the most iconic buildings in Queensland including the Breakfast Creek Hotel in 1889 and the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame at Longreach.

Woollam whole-heartedly and actively embraces a philosophy of paying-it-forward, contributing hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to support those in need.
