Construction on a new $30 million retirement village at the Toowoomba Golf Club should start within months, after the primary contractor was announced.

Aura Holdings, which will run the 78-unit development on Rowbotham St in Middle Ridge, has revealed Toowoomba company McNab Construction would build it once detailed designs were completed.

Aura Holdings co-owner and director Mark Taylor said work had already begun with architects to bring the project to fruition.
