Congratulations and best wishes to our residents Neddie and Kerry who tied the knot at The Pavilion North Kirra.

A day of fun, love and laughter

Congratulations and best wishes to our residents Neddie and Kerry who tied the knot at The Pavilion North Kirra on April 2, 2022.

The happy couple, who met two years ago, enjoyed a day filled with love and laughter with 50 guests including their adult children and grandchildren. The ceremony and after party were held in the village’s function area – our first on-site wedding!

Neddie said she and Kerry were determined the day would be without any stress – just an occasion to create happy memories. “I wore formal while Kerry decided to have a business look on the top and a party below wearing his red shorts,’’ Neddie said.

“We were both widowed but feel so fortunate to have found love a second time around. The day was all about fun and even our vows were full of hilarious moments, including when the question was asked ‘where is the ring?’ It had been organised for someone to pop up and say ‘I’ve found it in the lift!’

“Our little dog Pippa was the flowergirl and wore a pink tutu.’’

Kerry and Neddie said a fantastic day was had by all with new friendships forged. “Thank you to The Pavilion for their support of our special day,’’ they said.

The lovebirds flew north to Port Douglas for their honeymoon.
