Moving day is moving closer for stage two

Thursday, 23 July 2020

Construction on the final stage of The Avenue Maroochydore retirement community is progressing well and the residents will be moving in soon.

Work is being completed on the much-anticipated pool and courtyard gardens, and the finishing touches are being applied to the interiors of the 64 independent-living apartments.

The Avenue Maroochydore is abuzz with classes and events returning to the village, including some new activities.

On Mondays, the University of the Third Age (U3A) offers three Spanish classes from 10am in the village’s function room. The classes began this week and are open to anyone.

The usual yoga classes are back on Thursday mornings and now we have Zumba at 1.30pm on Thursdays with instructor Amy. Get your groove on and join us for some fitness and fun at Zumba – all classes cost $10.

Five Good Friends’ Concierge and registered nurse Crystal Wigfull runs relaxation classes on Tuesdays at 10am and brain training sessions on the first Friday of every month at 10am. These Five Good Friends classes are free and all are welcome to attend.

RSVP to classes and sessions are essential. To reserve your place or to learn more about living at The Avenue, please call (07) 5479 6482 or live@theavenuemaroochydore.com.au
