All aboard! Retirees hit road for village tours

Thursday, 25 February 2021

A group of around 40 deposit holders from The Pavilion North Kirra boarded a bus earlier this month from the Gold Coast to spend a day of adventure exploring Aura Holdings’ two beautiful Brisbane retirement communities.

The Atrium Lutwyche

With construction due for completion on stage one of The Pavilion in September 2021, excitement is rising among the future residents.

The adventurers were able to experience two very different retirement communities – The Atrium Lutwyche, a city chic one-stage community of 59 apartments on Brisbane’s inner northside, and then southwest to the multi-stage village at Kingsford Terrace Corinda, where construction is due to begin soon on stage four.

Some Pavilion buyers have already taken advantage of the strong real estate market by selling their homes and moving temporarily to The Atrium, Kingsford Terrace or The Avenue Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. Aura Holdings’ Resident Transfer Program is a real point of difference amongst other retirement living providers – find out more about our transfer program here.

So what did our happy bus trippers think of Aura’s already established urban villages? Margaret Morrisey described The Atrium Lutwyche as “lovely’’ and “spacious, light and airy’’, while she found Kingsford Terrace “very modern’’ and also spacious. Margaret said she would happily recommend either village to her friends looking for a retirement apartment in Brisbane.

Sally Lazarus loved Kingsford Terrace’s indoor pool and the village’s spaciousness while being very impressed by The Atrium’s stunning city views. Sally appreciated the opportunity to get to know her fellow future Kirra residents better.

Lloyd and Lyn Nixon were impressed by the communal areas at Kingsford Terrace, including the large dining and function room, the library and boardroom (available for residents’ private functions). They appreciated the opportunity to view the apartment finishes and get a perspective on apartment sizes. They were impressed by the “lovely library space’’ at The Atrium and its location so close to the city.

All the visitors appreciated the opportunity to experience the lifestyle that awaits them at The Pavilion. Everyone was impressed by the villages’ facilities, the friendliness of the communities and they appreciated the opportunity to inspect the stunning display apartments and measure them up for size. The welcome morning tea at The Atrium and delicious lunch at Kingsford Terrace were also most appreciated before the return bus trip down the M1.
