Press Release: The Atrium Lutwyche, a boutique community in a convenient location

Retirement living in Brisbane’s inner north has reached a whole new level with a seven-storey community offering stunning city views.

PRESS RELEASE 29 August 2019

Retirement living in Brisbane’s inner north has reached a whole new level with a seven-storey community offering stunning city views.

The Atrium Lutwyche, developed by Queensland retirement operator Aura Holdings, will deliver 60 one, two or three-bedroom apartments with million-dollar views priced from $435,000.

The boutique development is within walking distance of a major bus interchange, shops, restaurants, 2.8km to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and 4km from Brisbane city.

A feature of the village will be the rooftop terrace where residents can get together or invite family and friends to share the breathtaking views and lights of the city. Imagine Riverfire or New Year’s Eve celebrations on the fabulous rooftop!

Even apartments on the second floor enjoy stunning unobstructed city views from the elevated site at 11-15 High St, Lutwyche.

Aura Holdings director Mark Taylor said the development had quickly found favour with northside retirees and downsizers who were seeking quality retirement living. He said several buyers were still in the workforce but preparing for life beyond the 9 to 5.

“Our residents want maintenance-free independent living within the area they know and love, with their family and friends nearby. They don’t want to retire to the outskirts of Brisbane without that community connection and quality of life,’’ he said.

“The Atrium addresses the gap in the market for boutique-style retirement living so close to the city in a small connected community with support if needed to maintain an independent lifestyle.

“Our residents have had enough of endless maintenance of their large, empty family homes. It’s become a burden. They have plans that don’t involve lawnmowers, instead they want to free up some capital, lock up and leave their home for some extended travel.’’

The pet-friendly apartments offer residents community facilities including a cafe, heated indoor pool, yoga and pilates area, wine room and library.

Residents can lead the life they want on their own terms surrounded by like-minded neighbours in safe independent-living accommodation with support on hand. Aura partners with Five Good Friends for in-home care services or residents can choose their own services.

Aura’s philosophy is to stand out from other retirement village providers by being open and fair. All villages are welcoming and inclusive, putting residents’ needs first. Staff listen and empower residents to shape the community in which they live.

Aura Holdings is currently involved in six projects in various stages of development in southeast Queensland, providing high-quality retirement living apartments.

The Atrium on High St, Lutwyche, will be completed in January 2020. It is being built by McNab Construction.

Aura Holdings director Tim Russell urged buyers to act quickly to express interest in the remaining units as the single tower development on the site was the only opportunity to be part of the exciting northside retirement community.

“Not only is this boutique development set in a stunning environment but its residents will have Aura’s exceptional standard of independent living, state-of-the-art facilities, with quality lifestyle and wellbeing services on hand,’’ Mr Russell said.

“As a small Queensland-based company we listen to our residents and continue to engage with them into the future. We proudly maintain personal relationships with our residents. Every village is shaped by the people who live there. It is their community so they have an important role to play.

“We are different from the other retirement living providers and proudly put people before business. We have fair fees and no hidden costs.’’

Apartments at The Atrium Lutwyche range from $435,000 to $720,000. A sales office is open at 2 East St, Lutwyche, (07) 3357 9092.
