We are pleased to report that during the February 2022 flood, Somerset Indooroopilly and its residents remained safe and dry. The village, including all basement parking and critical infrastructure, was built above previous flood levels, and the dam wall was raised by 1m. As expected in extreme conditions, Meiers Road was cut but the raised emergency access and walkway remained flood-free, allowing access from the village to a higher section of Meiers Road. Flood waters receded quickly.
