All major structural work on the ground floor and level one is complete with level two’s structure expected to be finished soon. The building’s roof should be on by the end of July.

The first residents of Mitchell’s 10 spacious apartments are expected to move in January 2021. Mitchell is being constructed by Hutchinson Builders and was designed by O’Neill Architecture.

The residents’ community gardens at Kingsford Terrace between the Litchfield and Duporth buildings are looking stunning with the turf laid and major beds planted. The final touches are expected by the end of July.

Site fencing is up on the site on Rowbotham Street, Middle Ridge, sewer connections are complete and McNab staff have met with an arborist to ensure tree protection zones are in place for excavation works.

Work is under way on the “de-watering system’’ which lowers the water table in the construction area. The natural ground water table is at 3m and for building works this needs to be lowered to 7m to excavate the full depth of the basement.

The tower crane base is complete in preparation for the arrival on site of the crane.

Stage one of The Pavilion will be constructed by Woollam and designed by O’Neill Architecture. Stage two is before City of Gold Coast for final approval.
