Biggest Morning Tea

On 12 June, we held our Biggest Morning Tea! It was a delicious morning of festivities, friends and fundraising, with $528.10 raised to support the Cancer Council's vital cancer research, support services, prevention programs, and advocacy.

Thank you to all our residents that came along and traded coins for cakes, and a special thank you to those that took part in the 'Battle of the Bakers' - your tasty creations truly made it a morning to remember!
Congratulations to our resident, Lorraine, who took out first prize with her decadent Chocolate Mandarin Cake.
We'd also like to thank the Head Chef of the Kingsford Terrace Café, Teresa, for taking on the role of cake critic and judging our 'Battle of the Bakers', and to Monica, the Kingsford Terrace Café Barista, for keeping up with the tea & coffee needs of all our attendees.
Some great prizes were won on the day by both our 'Battle of the Bakers' contestant and general attendees through the raffle and lucky door prize draws. Thank you to Rodan and Fields for donating a beautiful Luxury Skin Care pack for our raffle prize and to our resident, Terry, for her contribution of some delicious chocolates as additional door prizes. Also thanks to those people helping at the door, with the cakes and selling raffle tickets.
